My Photo Editing Workflow
Exposure Compensation
I shoot with my camera settings adjusted to capture a dark image. This allows me to capture a more accurate detailed image after adjustments.
Adjusting all the images to match in the range is the first adjustment I make.
Curve Adjustments
Once I have adjusted the photos to similar lightnesses, I adjust:
- black tones
- shadow tones
- highlight tones
- white tones
Color Matching
Next, I match the colors in the photos.
Perspective Adjustments
- Adjust Level
- Adjust Crop
Retouching
- Skin Softening
- Spot Removal
Stylistic Choices
If you’ve given me a reference image, I finish the photo off with touches to reference the style.
